Love is a Verb

Jeanette posted this a few weeks before she died. I ran across it today and my heart ached.
Yes I still miss her, even the smallest things make me think of her.
Her post was " I wonder what I am supposed to do with the rest of my life."
Now I wonder what I am going to do with the rest of my life.
I saw, in October, how fleeting Life can be.
One day we were laughing about something the men did,
The next day, less than 24 hours later, she was gone.
Gone, Taking part of me with her.
I knew life could be short but that was a lesson again.
I am sure many more lessons are to follow.
We become complacent in our lives
Thinking Oh I still have more days.
I am fine, I am healthy, But our days are numbered.
We are not promised tomorrow or even the rest of today.
I post this in honor of Jeanette, she found her reason to exist.
She fed the neighbor hood children, made quilts for them and
showed true Love.
We wept together when we found out one of the little guys
slept in a box.
He had no bed.
We wanted to do something but no idea how.
Now that child has no one to really care about his breakfast or
after school snack.
She truly loved those children, although they added to her stress.
She opened the door with a smile and a Popsicle.
She greeted warmly and often one little 6 year old girl,
would come to her bedroom
to check on her.
Big crocodile tears fell when she saw Jeanette sick in bed.
Bigger tears fell when Jeanette was not coming home again.
So my Sister's life ended with her Heart "Loving and Doing"
"Love is a Verb"

Giving love is doing
and there's always more to do
Share with those in need,
and it will all come back to you.
For when life on earth is over
and your time to go has come,
You wont be judged by what you have
but by good deeds you've done
So greet with open arms
every soul you run into
'cause giving love is doing
and there's always more to do.
