Those three post were purely an accident. I think I hit shift too many times.
I was TRYING to post about the Tree decorated in the Bible.
Our personal tree has been up for a week.
I will attach a photo from Sunday.

I have bright lights around me and we all know that can't be true.
And Yes they did decorate trees in the Bible, it was cut, and decorated with silver and gold.
I found this out on Sunday. Wonder how many times I have over looked that scripture.
Wonder if I ever read that part of the Bible.
It is in Jeremiah 10: 2-4
I found this so interesting. Especially the minister's teaching on this passage.

You know this scripture is about making Idols out of wood not about Christmas Trees?
Yes I know it was not CHRIST mas trees. Christ had not been born yet.
The point is Some Christians will go to that scripture and say "Trees are idols."
He was pointing out that is the way some people justify their beliefs, no trees or lights or celebration.
Of course the pastor was trying to make a point of Not being critical of how each person chooses to celebrate Christmas, or not celebrate.
Our old pastor did that in the 7o's so the next year David and some friends went to their house, while the pastor was at church and put up a tree.
Vi really wanted one but Coy was too stubborn so he choose to defy anyone that had trees.
We were at the top of the list.
He told us to get the tree out of our house.
Why did we put up with that? To keep peace. I guess.
Phew Glad Ken cleared that up. BUT if you chose to bow down to the Christmas tree then you are in fact making it an idol AND some people do make the trees an idol..which could be a problem I suppose. Not sure that I'll bow down to my tree.
