Where did the year go? It seems only yesterday I was taking down the tree from 2010. Instead I was taking down the tree from 2011.
My plans for the year are minimal.
Sewing, I found this amazing AMAZING fabric. It is subtle trees on the background.
The fabric is a light to medium tan.
My plans,!!
I plan to trace houses in the forest and embroider them.
There will be fences, trees outlined but most in the background as a forest.
Smoke will be coming from chimneys.
The town will, of course, include a church.
And I have the perfect one to embroider,
Sardis Church in Sparkman Arkansas , One My Mom attended as a young girl.
The houses will be copies of the ones I lived in as a child. Most were backed by forest.
(If not, they will be on my quilt)
The inner blocks will be Flying Geese and Bear tracks and Arkansas Crossroads.
Oh of course I have to find a place for a ferry, Somehow I will find the spot to run a river in blue.
I have it in my mind, now to get it on paper and fabric.
It will be my Memory quilt.
So that is a plan. I have two others or is it three started?
One of them I need one more red print on white. I will know it when I see it.
Then I can get it together. It must all mesh before I can begin.
Another one is an offset star quilt with the names and birth and death dates of loved ones.
I made the pattern from several I found.
It too is waiting for me to finish, I made one star,
had to rip it out as I offset the star in the wrong direction.
I have never liked ripping out.
If only I would sit and accomplish my tasks.
I spent last night going through old photos to find the pictures of the houses and church.
I think I have them all.
So with that I will get moving and take my car in for service. Oh did I tell you, It is the battery>
YEA. And get this Schwaub did not have a battery like my car uses, in stock.
And if they did, It was going to cost more than one at Ford dealership.
So out the door I saved money by them being out of stock.
My car will be so happy, new life, tires rotated, Oil Change.
At least it was not something major.
Thank God for answers to prayers,
If is does do a major thing It has to before August 8, That is when my warranty expires, That or 60000 miles and I am only at 35000.
So I am saying August will be here before mileage.
So that is how my year will end.
Car service, Ornaments put away and start my Thyroid, no iodine diet.
Year beginning I have an entire week lined up for testing and pills.
Not a big deal, I expect nothing but perfection in the test.
Positive thinking around here.
