We for the first time EVER post every penny we spend. David set up our budget on a spread sheet, I wanted him to. We talked we agreed, lets see where we are spending.
Where does our money go?
Well half if it goes on the house. That is a given.
Half a month later and I am still broke.
I do not get it.
I want to buy some fabric but that is frivolous.
I Can not bring myself to spend anything I absolutely do not need to spend.
"Make do or Do Without"
I am trying that policy. Wonder how that will work out.
It is pretty interesting, but we are being dishonest by not doing what we ordinarily do.
Or are we (me) being smart?
Like Me, Fabric Shop.
Soon enough ,the pool will need things, the garden will have needs, the yards will need feed, I will need a perm, Medication is up in the air as to cost.
I have eliminated a lot of bills, well a couple. dropped a phone line, dropped cell service, combined ATT with Direct TV to save 5 a month. Order my expensive medications from Canada to save a FORTUNE. Three months pills for the price of one month here. I am adding another to the list this week.
I hear Avapro is going generic, but I have yet to see it and 60 a month is ridiculous when I can get 90 days for 38 from my mail order pharmacy.
And in case some of you think this is not good. If you know me at all, You know my health is important to me, I would not do this on a whim, (order from Canada)
My cardiologist suggested it. How is that for a good reference?
In fact I talked to them yesterday and they have David and I set up for another year in refills.
So be proud of me, I am used to just getting what I need and most I want. It is hard to break 46 years of being frivolous.
We want a vacation. That is a goal. Looks like it is going to be difficult to make it.
We Will, We Will.
Why? Because David says I must choose between a garden and a trip. Not a fair choice. I want both.
Lets see, Give up fresh melons, squash, corn, beans, radishes, lettuce, okra, peas, carrots, for a trip. Why cant I do both?
Because I have to be here to attend to watering and picking and weeding.
In a lighter note, my older, not oldest, grandchildren, who will be 15 and 18 in 2012, want two weeks here this summer. Maybe other Mamaw and Us can swing it.
I think so. I hope so,
I told Sheri to put a sign on them stating, "Unsupervised Children"
They are both 5'10", and look like they could be twins, only one is built like a football player and the other like a model.
I will love having them here.
They will probably never get out of the pool.
(note the last two sentences are positive.) Think positive, Think positive.
Sheri can I say that on my blog, If not, take it off. LOL
