"When the darkness closes in still I will say,
Blessed be the name of the Lord,
Blessed be the Glorious Name."
Some days you just feel so blessed. We spoke of this yesterday as we made a trip to see our Son in YC.
Yesterday was K's birthday. She is now a big three years old and thinks she can do anything the big brothers do.
She almost can. She certainly gives it the old Mamaw try. Climb that chain, run with that kite, Ride that new bike.
We had a wonderful day and I had my camera battery all charged up ready to go. I left it on the kitchen counter. That is just me, forgetful.
Oh well Mommy has to post for me.
I hoped to get a photo in her new dress. Mamaw and Papaw buys clothes, no toys from us.
Papaw picked out a cute pair of shorts with a scarf belt and a shirt. Yes Papaw saw it and goes that is so Cute.
We had a lot of laughs with the kids, we got our big hugs and smiles.
I have to say, That is the SWEETEST bunch of children. Just sweet. You know the kind, Children that just make you glad to see their smiling faces. they have amazing smiles and giggles but they are content to play in the yard and not be inside. Every once in a while they would run in and tell us the sun had left again. Clouds kept flying over.
At one point they were all talking at once, Ken said , "Not one word out of anyone!"
You know what he did next? He asked them a question. HUH? Dont talk but answer me.
I looked at them and said "SHHHHH, quiet". No one said a Word. LOL
Got to love being a parent, I recall a day when I asked mine did they want me to get in the back seat with them. Of course they giggled. Or do you want me to spank you? Sure Mom I would love a spanking.
Ken laughed he said "Mamaw was being silly."
Cay sat beside me at Cake time, as he completed his cake he looked at me and again (he asked on Easter) Mamaw why didn't you come to my Birthday?
UH UH UH I told him he was breaking my heart asking that, because I could not remember why.
I suddenly remembered on the way home. Mommy was due to deliver any time and we did not want to make two trips in a row. Sure enough the baby was born less than a week later.
But I saved the day by reminding him we had given him a present. He asked "What?" I told him,
Money. He said "Oh what did you give me?" Mommy said he bought a game, I then told him we gave him a game.
So now if he will just forget I did not show up for the cake.
As we sat there he told me of the fence Daddy built, I said Yes I saw that" I asked if he helped, K jumped in and said she helped.
Caylum then informed me his big brother got to use the,
"Screwer-upper. "
We laughed and laughed. He said "We did not have a drill so Evan got to use the Screwer-upper"
Ken responded with "No she was in the house". (teasing Kris)
We then were begged into flying kites again. Again it was not the right wind. But we tried, Kris got her Shark up for a while then a cross wind hit it and it bombed the ground.
The children did get to play on the equipment. Finally we said we are tired lets go back home. That was not what they had in mind.
I have to say it is nice to live by a beautiful school yard, they can walk half a block and fly kites or play on equipment or just run to their hearts content.
So we are blessed. we are aging but still able to make that trip once in a while, still here to hug and bless each moment God gave us.
Lei, the new one was so sweet, she smiled and cooed at me, Then Mommy topped her off and she slept for a few hours. Even though she had shots on Friday, she still found time to smile through the misery.
Too bad we are not more like children,Smile through the pain and trials.
So as we discussed our blessings I have to add
"Yesterday was again another blessed day from the Lord."

I am really blessed today too. I was so anxious about the dental visit. I thank God that I have friends who will pray for me while i stress over things that is so easy for God to do. He is so real to me for God takes care of so much for me.
