Blah

So far I am having a blah day. I just got up, It is 8 o'clock. Whew usually not that late but I am pretty tired. I am not hungry so I have to make myself eat a bite so my sugar level does not go crazy.
My plan for today was to empty the china cabinet of extras and move my new china inside the house. As in, take it out of the box, time to use it. Holidays are on the way.
I Love the Holidays. A time of good friends and family being together. Well some of my family, I am sure I will see Ken and his beautiful family,
We do plan a trip to Arkansas this winter, I want to spend one more holiday with my remaining brothers and sisters, I have three of each and have lost one brother. Not too bad for a group of eight children. My sister usually has a family dinner so they can all be together, I have always missed it, not this year though, HOPEFULLY.
Today is Thursday, the week flew by. I am scheduled for a mammogram next week, Not that I mind, it is just something more to do.
David and I need to get to the home improvement store to purchase new items for the second garage. I am sure it will look great when we are through, We are also insulating the walls.
That is where I look for bargains, Did you know you can buy the opened packs of insulation for lots less money? I asked. Therefore that is one reason Ron calls me a dealer. What does it hurt if they are open? NOT a thing. I buy mis-mixed paint, Hey not a bad thing to do if the color is not a horrible color. I buy discontinued tiles ETC. In fact I have a huge pile of tile in the floor that was given to me by a local design company. It was discontinued tile put in a bin for taking. I taked it. LOL (good english there Sue)
Maybe when Ron is here I can get him to finish wiring the garage or check out what I did and make any adjustments needed. Maybe not too many. Yes I wired the second garage/workshop a few years ago. I was pretty proud of myself but I did forget a few things, Like junction boxes. OK I am not a pro but I did put the boxes and wires where I wanted them.
You should have seen it when we bought the place, that garage could have started a fire. It did burn out Sheri's refrigerator. We had it set up, so it was not on a bad circuit but obviously it was not. There were literally extension cords hanging from a ceiling, wired into a unit to power a lamp. Not kidding, There were lamps hanging from the rafters for light. One day I walked out and smelled something burning, I quickly turned everything off but it was too late for the refrigerator. Lesson Learned.
The wiring was run underground in plastic pipe, and it was only about 3 inches deep and it was full of water. What a mess.
But I am not complaining, it was interesting to go in and start from scratch.
Someday I must post about the purchase of this place and the devastation we felt at times. Mostly we were just thankful. But when we began the dump runs we were overwhelmed.

So now to get started on my day, Maybe I will go outside, the beautiful fall weather is calling me.
