Just less than two weeks from now we go on Daylight Savings Time. I am ready. (I think!)
Less than one week left of February.
February has been a trying month. From the injury of Davids knee, The loss of Our Dear Friend and co-in law, the wife of Dave, breaking her back in a major fall, My MRSA on my lip, A grandson that had a trip to ER for a nail stuck in his foot, and two trips to Sacramento to pick up and deliver children to the airport.
As I watched my Grandchildren at the airport I saw exhaustion in their eyes and mannerisms, G was lying all over his papaw, he just sighed and sighed, I can safely say his position changed a minimum of 50 times. Papaw held on.
G 8 is hanging on to his Papaw, He is concerned that he only has one Papaw left and took the loss of Papaw Dave really hard. He wept when he saw him, at the viewing. He spent a lot of time crying, He and Tyler, his 18 year old cousin were inseparable at the funeral as they held on to each other.
He does not want to lose another Papaw so he is making loving memories. The entire time they were here, When David was around him, G was on his lap and hugging him. (such a loving child).
Today I am pretty wiped out. I was to begin with yesterday but knew if I pushed myself I could make it. I fell asleep in my chair before 9 PM and finally crawled off to bed about 9:30.
So far I have accomplished not one thing. NOTHING!!!
And I do not care.
I spoke to Gwena last night, her MRI did not show enough information about her fractured vertebrae so she now has a CT scan on Thursday. I am so amazed when it takes so long to get this information when it is as simple as reading an X-Ray.
She is in Pain People. DO SOMETHING!!
Now on to happier notes, As we were driving back yesterday, I turned the driving over to David, I was exhausted and wanted to lie back. Lie Back I did too.
As we drove along I saw not one, not two but three rainbows. They were so beautiful. At times the sky was bright to the east and dark to the west. Then it would become dark on the east. Very quickly the sun changed. I believe the wind was reported at the airport at 60 miles an hour.
While watching the beauty of Nature, I saw at least 1000 geese flying. One group was in the hundreds but there were lots of groups and tag along or strays.
They were beautiful, Not great formations but still their beauty soaring in the wind made me want to soar above the clouds.
At one point I spotted a Dark gray cloud. In front of it I saw, Silver wings.
A group of Sea Gulls had made their way over the hills to the rice paddies. When they would fly and the sun would catch the white of their wings, it appeared to be silver wings.
BEAUTIFUL!! I love to sit and watch changes in nature and how a sliver of light or a drop of rain can change the entire appearance of the world around us.
Every thing was beautiful yesterday, as the rain had washed the world clean.

Hi Sue,

Oh, I am sorry to read about all the bad things that happened in February.

Those rainbows and the flying geese must have been beautiful. A good omen!

I'm looking forward to more daylight, and to Spring! I hope it will come early.

Thank you for visiting and the nice comment. Things have been a bit tough, and there is still so much to do. So many trees are down. It makes me sad. But Nature will eventually renew everything. And maybe my blogging funk will heal and I will feel like posting again.

Have a great rest of the week.

Hugs and blessings,

Renie

No ER, just urgent care for tetanus. Looks a lot better today too.

Our plane was REALLY delayed, have to write about it soon.
