Krustez Mixes

First let me introduce you to these mixes, not only the bread mixes. Actually I do not buy the bread or muffin mixes, I only buy the Pie Crust Mix. This is without a doubt the best pie crust you can make. No shortening to keep on hand. All you do is add water.
While here, my sister bought a case of it, She can not find it in Arkansas. So today I bought 6 boxes. Hey I can make four pie crust for under two dollars, and I am assured it is flaky and tasty.
If I made it from scratch, it may be tough, or not good. I am never sure how it will taste. Now I am pretty sure, I can usually guarantee a great crust.

Today we hit the stores to shop for Thanksgiving. I think all I bought was a Turkey. I still need to make my cranberry relish. Yummy relish, I could eat it by itself.
Want the recipe? I hope you try it and let me know what you think. Use fresh spices. That can guarantee a great seasoning, Spices must be fresh or they lose their uumph. (sic)

Cranberry Orange Relish
3 cups fresh cranberries
3/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
1/3 cup orange liqueur (may use 1 tbsp orange flavoring)
(I use the liqueur)
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground ginger

Combine all ingredients in med saucepan.
Bring to boil, Reduce heat to med-low and simmer, stirring frequently,
Simmer until berries pop and the mixture is slightly thickened.
(Approx 10 minutes)
Remove from heat and cool slightly
Stir in
1 Tbsp orange rind grated
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (opt)
cover and refrigerate
keeps well

Tomorrow maybe I can get that done. Maybe!! I am not quite sure what all I am going to make. Some fresh veggies but not sure what kind. A fruit salad, And whatever else my brain cooks up.

We had a nice quiet weekend. We went to a friends yesterday to celebrate the 88th Birthday of a special lady. Ruby, Memaw, we call her those names. She is the grandmother of my Son in Law. A special, beautiful lady.
We had a spaghetti dinner. I loved it. Gwenas sauce was perfect. The salad was loaded. I love a loaded salad.
Well I loved the spaghetti, David ate it but he is not a spaghetti person.
His loss. No, actually it is mine. I never make spaghetti for me, so I never have it .
If some of the children or grandchildren are here I can make it for them.
It has been a couple of years since I had spaghetti at home.
Now I am having a pity party.
So what else am I up to????
Right now I have a huge mess in the office/sewing room/catch all room.
I think I have unfolded every piece of fabric I have and could make no decision. I planned on knitting and that box is out and messy, I planned on embroidering and that box is out and in disarray. However the rest of the house is spotless.
I just cant seem to get involved in a project. At least in a project and finish it. I tried to knit a few minutes ago, Every time I began David would say something. (I was counting stitches)
I would stop, lose my count, rip it out, then start again.
I kept telling him, Shhhhh, I am counting. Finally I had to rip out three or four rows. I looked at him and he said, "OK I wont say another word." Right!!!!
A scene came on the movie, and I hear a "Ahhhhhh" ( he really wanted to say something)
That was it, he was having a hard time keeping quite. I laughed and he shook his head and refused to look at me at that moment.
If you knit you know sometimes you have to count stitches, unless you are Really good, and can recognize the last stitch you put on. Not me I am not that good, In fact I am NOT good at it, but I do love knitting.
I did finish piecing my black and white quilt. I must post a photo. (and I will as soon as I spread it out on the bed again) It is really classy.

Everyone take care and I will check in tomorrow, or maybe I will clean the messy room.
Sounds like a plan.

Love to all.
