Today has been pretty busy around here. I did not get my rest in and I am exhausted.
We got up around 10, (late) made breakfast then I began packing boxes.
I packed my China, Gold Chargers, Kitchen scales, Red Heart Vase, Stacked Antique bowls. Tomorrow I plan on getting at least three more boxes packed.
I am getting ready to move, so when the time comes, it wont be so overwhelming.
As I pack I am looking at things to put in a garage sale. I am keeping my expensive good stuff. Of course the dishes given to me by Retha (her wedding presents from her Mom) My green bowls from Mama, My old china, I got it when I was 16. I added to it over the years.
I have so many treasures, Things I can not part with but never use.
You never know when you are going to need something for display or accents.
That will become you all problem when we pass away.
We will whittle it down quite a bit but some we just need to keep. Keep for the memories.
You cant take away all our memories.
MY Books, Wow what to do with those? I just cant get rid of 100 year old books. I love them, Like Jack London's," White Fang."
Some dated 1920. I just love old books.
Plus I have an outdated set of 1968 Compton's encyclopedias. Who wants them?
Any Takers?
After all the packing we made it to town to buy med and a few groceries. Came home broke after the pharmacy. Wow that is expensive. Crestor for David is $84. for two months.
Tomorrow I need to buy two more grape plants, It has rained for several days so it is a perfect time to plant.
It certainly looks like spring around here. Everything is wet and bright green, Plus the oak pollen is everywhere. Everywhere means the pool too.
Big job there waiting.
Right now I am tired so I will close and check on other mail.
Hey Hey, in other news. An old friend found us on Face book. Vern Manson.
I am sure you all heard us mention them over the years. He lost his entire family in an auto accident in 1968. We had just spent the last weekend with them and had a wonderful visit. Only to never see Pat, Patrick, Billy and Karyn again, Three beautiful kids and a Loving Mom, Just gone. It just brings to life, You never know when your time will come.
I never drive down Airport Road that I do not think of them and Karyn's beautiful smile.
Pats playful attitude, and the boys being boys.
The Sunday before, Patrick gave his heart to the Lord. We knew they were all at peace in the arms of God. However hard it was to see those 4 caskets lined up large to small. It was heart wrenching.
I pray I never go through that again.
So Vern has contacted us, It was great to hear from him. Vern Reminded us of helping him build an amplifier for his guitar. I read directions, David knew color codes and Vern welded.
Pat loved holding Ken and playing with the baby. It was 1968 so Ken was about or less than a year old.
I loved being the boss. (reading directions, piece by piece).
It was so much fun, plus we had lots of laughs.
With that I will say Goodnight.
I pray this has put a little bug in your ear, Tomorrow may be too late to say, "I LOVE YOU"
Tomorrow may never come for some of us.
So I love you all. So Much.
