What!!! ??? ...

What a week???
What a week!!!
What? A week?

OK you get the gist. It is all in how you say it.
Saturday I am not sure what we did but it was tiring. Sunday, however I know what we did.
We picked and shucked and processed CORN.
I told you I planted too much. David figured we had already picked 400 ears and not half done yet.
Ron and Darlene, Clay and Marie, Lee and Sue, Marilyn and Curt, Lori and Gwena., will all have corn before we are done, Some already have it, we are taking Gwena's to her tomorrow, to share with Lori or whomever.
Of course we are putting 300 ears in our freezer for us and the YC and Sea kids, (adults).
We may not have much in tomatoes but Corn and Melons and Squash are prolific.
I am not complaining but I am TIRED.

After a day of putting corn in the freezer, (shucking, cleaning, blanching, wrapping each piece, placing in freezer bad and putting away), On Sunday.

Monday brought a new day and more commitments.
I had an Avon Meeting at 10 AM. Crawling out of bed was a big chore. I did not want to get up.
I kept dozing then finally forced my self up and into the shower.
I sat down to eat and take meds, put patches on and check mail.
Time flew by.
Suddenly I was rushing around like mad to get out of the house and to the Gaia.
(Gaia is a totally green motel by the river, on Riverview drive.)
Only two miles but seemed like a long way.
I made it in time to the meeting.
Now I am better, I borrow some of my leaders jewelry for the show I am doing at 2PM.
I can do this, That is almost 4 hours later. I will have time for a little nap.
Wrong!!!

When I get home I sort and pack my products in a box.
Suddenly I remember the beautiful winding staircase at the retirement center. I cant lug boxes up and down those steps. Yes they have an elevator but I wanted to walk that staircase.
I pull out my luggage with wheels. Finally a Good idea.
I pack it up, It is FULL.
Honestly it was full and I still had a box and a tote bag.
NO time to nap. NO time to eat, NO time to rest.
The phone rings, I have another retirement center that wants to schedule a book party.
YEA!!!!
I take that call.
Sheri calls, I take that call.
I am running when the phone rings again. It is Charles, I must take this, I am waiting for good news.
The good news comes.
I have not ate yet, my sugar is dropping. I grab a chicken leg, a piece of bread and choke it down., As I run out the door I grab a candy bar and a bottle of water and an ice tea.
I eat as I drive. (praying the candy does not get on my purple dress).
I go in the center.
Mary the Activities director is off. OFF??? She knew we had an appointment.
OK what now, Who knows what to do.
I walk upstairs and a gentleman helps me.
He then looks up the meeting information, grabs two tables and covers them with cloths.
He is a life saver.
At that point I was almost wishing I could just go back home and lie down.
He told me to grab the seniors as they left the dining room as once they got in their rooms, they did not come out. It was nap time.
I set the table up and a few ladies stop by. Men avoided my eyes. I guess they did not know I can sell them smell good products.
I say it was a good day for sales as it was my first time and I had not activities director. I had to set up all the stuff.
But, But one thing I found out,
Those ladies want the product NOW.

They really do not want to order.
So now I know what they really want. I could have sold 4 or more of one necklace. I will order it for next time.

Now by 430 I must pack it all back up, get my loaners to Renee, my director, Get home as Clay and Marie are coming for corn.
I make it all on time.
I am jazzed about the show but exhausted. I am so tired I want to cry. But I would do it again.
Oh Yes I will do it again.
Next week.
And the question, What?
It is the second one,
What a Week!!!!!!!
