Instant Panic

Today as I walked in the door, After work, I found David lying on the kitchen floor.
I saw he was smiling. I panicked for a small second.
My heart almost stopped.
I said, "Honey what is wrong, What are you doing?" He instantly assured me he was OK.
He just could not get off the floor.
Why was he there in the first place, You ask?

Well On Friday he bought milk, He came home and began working on some paperwork.
he forgot the milk among other things.
The milk sat in the hot car for 4 hours, He refrigerated it then but I was not comfortable drinking milk like that.
So today he poured it down the drain..
Yes this does lead to the explanation, just a long way around it.

As he poured, the trap came apart under the sink. Milk was pouring all over the cabinet bottom and out to the wood floor.
He grabbed towels and began cleaning it up.
When he got down, he realized he could not get back up.

For a second I wondered if I was going to have to call for help.
But I knew I could ask God for help and he would give us strength.
I had him turn over to his back, I then put my hands just below his shoulders and he lifted as light as a feather. Honestly I told him, "Honey that was no more than helping lift a feather.
Remember he had nothing to grab on to, he was between the island and the bottom cabinet.

How did that happen?
I believer I had an angel helping me lift this 200 lb man.
An Angel, on wings of prayer  and Pure Love.

So are we needing to be closer to some of our kids? I guess so but we do quite well, at this point.
I am aware this is minor but had I been gone for several more hours.
What would have happened?
He said he was down there about 45 minutes, Lying on his chest on the cold floor.
That is what happens to someone alone. I must think of that or get him a medic alert.
Yeah like he would allow that.

My sweet husband suffers with his arm and today was an embarrassing situation for him. Embarrassing and painful. His arm just would not help him AT ALL.

Oh my gosh. "Help I've fallen and I can't get up" isn't so funny now! Glad he's okay.
