This week begins the doctor visits, hospital visits and stress.
Today we spent the day in YC with our youngest grandson, His birthday comes up soon and we wanted to buy a gift rather then send money.
He is one happy boy, and he has one happy sister. Leila loves the horse too.
And they are quite good at sharing.
However I have a feeling, as of tonight the batteries come out as the constant whinnying and galloping can get quite old.
Kian (Ke Ke) is three on the 14th, I think. May be the 13th.
He is our silly kid. He has a unique sense of humor. Tonight he was sharing a soda with Caylum and Cay asked for a sip, Ke Ke kept drinking, he turned the can up and drank and smiled all time he was doing it.
Cay kept saying," Kian Stop, Let me have a drink". Ke Ke Kept drinking and smiling.
Look at that face, He is so cute. Look at the Happy Ma maw, I love being with my Grandchildren, Even though I forgot to get totally dressed. I was in total comfort, jump suit, slippers and glasses falling off but that baby loved his horse. He hugged it (the horse) as we were leaving as said, "Thank you Papaw for the Horse"
Of course we got kisses.
Back to our week, David has pre op at Mercy tomorrow. Not sure why they do this, because they called us a week or so ago and offered him an earlier surgery, like the next day. No time for prep and going off med, Just not right to offer that.
Anything for money though.
On Thursday he has an apt with the surgeon for Pre op check up.
Last weekend he had appointment with his doctor for information.
He told her he was unsure he had made the right decision.
Her response.
"David You are an active man, You will never use your arm again if you do not have it repaired"
That statement made him feel better as no one had put it that way.
Yes at 74 he is an active men, He tries to keep his mind active but he can only do so much physically. After setting at a desk for 29 years he lost some of his muscular abilities, He is still strong but a person that sets at a desk, (unless they regularly work out) have a disadvantage and an advantage.
Mentally they are stronger, Physically they are weaker.
He did, at one time, cut all our own firewood, mow our own yards, Keep our place sharp. Now the work is all done by someone else.
He never NEVER worked on our cars. Never, that was for mechanics.
Plumbing was for plumbers, ETC.
Now to face this at this stage in life is disheartening.
I try to take care of him. He is such a blessing in my life. And I never try to forget it.
Although at times I have to stop myself and say, "Wake up, Life is Good, Times are great, Keep Dreaming of good times to come."
I always think Tomorrow will bring good things. Better things. We discussed today how I always day dreamed of things, In my dreams I always had a nice house, and get this, My Stereo bought in 1963 was always the center of the displays. (I know I am weird)
There she is, Pollyanna is back in my head.
BTW I do NOT like that photo of me, I must get my DIL back down here to get a better shot,
(You can not tell but that is a one piece short jumper. It is so cute and I bought it at "MACY'S" )
Yes I am 66 and still wear shorts.
Kris we need a new photo, One where I am not scrunched together and my glasses are falling off.
I detest my glasses.
There is a warning in my final notes, NO GLASSES on me when I am lying in my Rose colored Casket.
Ken said, He would come up and draw some on my face with permanent marker. Yeah He would do that.
