As I was taking my walk, I noticed a glimmer in the grass. I walk that area all time and take note of oddities.
For example I find tracks that are made by different animals. Unusual flowers, (wild) New Skunk Cabbage growing, limbs that need removed, ETC.
So when I spotted the object I gave it a nudge with my foot.
IT WAS AN UNUSUAL ROCK.
I picked it up and thought, "How interesting?"
I began studying it and thought, "OH Crap I hope this is not frozen crap from a jetliner"
I handled it and studied more.
Suddenly I take it in to show, (Cowtail) my nickname for my Lover. (He said he was going walking with me but it was taking too long).
I ask, "Honey can a meteor fall in our field?"
He says, "Yes I suppose so, but not likely"
OH YEAH!!!
I open my hand, he then says, "Oh my gosh, that is an odd piece of rock or whatever."
so now the race is on to find the origin of this unique piece.
It is quite a conversation piece.
What do you think?
The one on the left is an interesting rock from our yard. It is like Lava rock but too dense, and it is literally covered in holes.
Rock on right is my notable find.
Here you can see where the melt happened. That little thumb like sticking up is smooth and glossy.
On these two you see flecks of silver or diamonds. It is shiny spots that seemed rubbed to a smooth polished finish.
so what do you think?
