Dr Appt

David saw the cardiologist today. I debated.
"Do I go in with him or not?"
Hummm I decided if I do not go he will not tell all.
He goes in teasing the nurse. I tell her he is a Jouster.
As you know he has lost a lot of weight, OK maybe 35 or so lbs.
As he steps on the scale it registers 247. He is dumbfounded.
How can that Be?
(The nurse had set her foot on the scales too)
He was grinning and confused. suddenly she told him  his weight was 197
She confessed to the foot on the scales.

Dressed down he is about 194.

Anyway he has not had a stress test since 2006. Yeah 7 years, The doctor reiterated, "That test was not normal and you were given options, Right?"
David was hesitant. He did NOT want a stress test again.
I said, "Yes he was given options"
I told the Doctor about the weight loss, loss of energy, loss of voice being strong.
David told him, "Yes but I am 75 years old"

He told David," that can be a sign of heart problems. Age has nothing to do with it when suddenly you begin going down hill."
He may need a stint or opening an artery.
He then told him, "A lot of people have no pain, (David has no chest pain, therefore he is fine, Per David) And then one day it goes bad."
I took it on my self to say, "David he is telling you, Some time People just drop Dead, with no pain"
So now we have a test scheduled. What do you bet he cancels?
It is for July 8th.

As we leave the office, David looks at me and says, "You are NEVER going in with me again>"

Yeah like I  listen to him. I want him around and I can see the changes. The doctor used my information as a guide as David was hesitant to share. He can not tell anyone he is not strong. He can not admit to no energy, he can not admit to sleepiness, That would be a sign of weak.
He denied falling asleep when sitting. (not a new thing  but he does not get out of bed until Late and he gets up and often falls back asleep)  He said, "Oh I just get tired,"
Tired? Tired from what, He needs his brain active and he does a good job of that but right now he is still in bed and I often wake him, Yeah me, I wake him and I am the sleeper. He only has about 4 physical things to do here, (take out garbage, wash dishes, dust floors and keep an eye on the pool, as in make sure it is clean)  Oh and Kill Snakes. LOL (while I stand on a chair in the yard)
I try to take most of the load off him. My heart aches for him to feel good again.
We are looking for an inexpensive Kindle for him, He reads a lot, like over 40 books in the last few months, and if he had them he would read ALL THE TIME. I think Kindle  is in order.

I then told the Doctor, he made 1/4 of a garden row today and he was exhausted.
I was up early and I began planting , Corn, beans, Peas, Radish, onions, carrots and Lettuce.
He covered my rows then he tried to make a row.
I watched him struggle slowly covering my rows and I said, "Honey, Let me show you how I do it, It is easier this way"
Comment, "I have made rows a lot longer than you."
Me, "OK Sweetie you are right, I am sorry"
Suddenly he walks over to me and says, "you are right, You are much better at this than I am, show me, I am sorry I said that to you."
OH MY GOSH, Did I just hear that from his mouth?
Yes I did, I just fell in Love again. At 67 years old or is it 66? Hummmm I cant recall.
So most of the garden is in and now I have peppers and melons and kale and Okra to plant.
I did plant my herb garden, It is cute. Cute Garden? Yep and right outside my kitchen door.
Basil, Parsley, Mexican Parsley (cilantro), Chives, etc. I must buy dill too, I LOVE to smell dill even if I do not make pickles. Weird huh?
So all is well here with the exception of me crawling around looking under beds and behind tables, My nerves are on edge and I must calm down. I must I must I must. LOL
Like I ever do.
Hey, to my children, We sat today and talked about you all, We are two proud parents. You make us so proud of the day you were born.
God has you in his care and he always will, We ask for your protection every day when we pray.
Love Love to all so much.

Okay, I fail to understand why you always bring up the fact that he falls asleep when he sits down. He has ALWAYS done that. When we were kids he did that.

I understand that you are worried, but that point never jives with me.
