Reruns and irritation.
"Where do I go from Here,
Tell me where do I go from here.
You said that you'd take me through the years,
So where do I go from here?"
Yes that is me being musical. Or my musicality is up, or Songs wont leave me alone.
For the last few days I have been thinking of the song about Friends.
Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
Chorus:
And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends..
In the fertile soil of you
Can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
Chorus:
And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends..
And the last few months was a witness to this song,
The words rang true on June 26th of this year.
As all our friends attended and celebrated our 50 years together, they all were able to see our family intact.
That family together is what our life was for. To grow and feed spiritually and mentally and physically.
Through the Grace of God we did it.
Now we have a feeling of complete.
That is what friends are.
Any thing we need or they need, We were a phone call away.
As Darlene said, "We knew we were all there for each other, Just pick up a phone."
If and When we move, I will miss my friends. Most of my life has been spent here with the Colosio's, the Keens. All their children are like our own. We are invited to EVERY family thing, Weddings, Showers, and we are always informed of anything happening.
We had our babies together, We raised them together, We shared in Those babies growing up and getting married, Having babies and now those babies, (grown men and women) becoming parents.
We were there for each others losses in the family.
So much to rerun.
We have so much to be thankful for.
Our own Motley crew comes in so many flavors.
We have at least two Computer Genius, One or more book genius, (local spelling bee winner) One or more Princess, A beautiful Dark haired Speed talker at 5 years old, One or more artist, One musician and possibly a future in the ministry.
One looks like a muscle man, and Man is he my Son made over!!!!!!!!!!!! (moms love that)
One takes the role of protector of his female cousin.
One is a question box, who wants to know why and how and Can he do it? He was lovingly nicknamed "Twitch" This summer. One of ours is a Gorgeous, Sweet young man. You HAVE to love him, You just have no other choice. One is Sweet, So sweet and thinks constantly of what is appropriate and what is not. He has the most perfect Belly Button I ever saw.
One was unable to attend, but he is still our Sunshine. No matter how old or what happens, He is our first and we missed him so much.
Then we have our baby. He is a big hunk of smiles and his favorite saying, "Na Me" (not me)
Sounds like he is in trouble a lot.
So maybe now I should try to go back to bed and sleep, I work tomorrow at Noon and I need to rest.
