It has been a while since I posted.
We had a quiet 4th. We stayed home, all day, Nancy and Paul came by and we served cake and tea. She always tells me I make the best Tea in the world, I tell her I grew up making tea every day.
We did not have tea bags, we used loose leaf tea, and we sweetened it with saccharine. YUCK! I liked it then but now I can taste it. I rememerber Mama bought these huge bottles of saccharine tablets, We put apporx, 20 in each gallon of tea. Well it was cheaper then sugar, and our budget was pretty tight.
We, as Al promised was in the pool on the 4th of July. In fact Ken and Kris came down on Saturday night and we all went swimming, then back in on Sunday. The pool is nice and comfortable. Not hot but not cold either. Ceylum had a ball. He swam back and forth all over the pool, (with a life suit and swimmies). I have a video I will put on line to see. Evan did great too one we got in into the deep, and he saw he was not going to drown with the protection on. I actually pulled him away from the steps then said swim back, He was fine from then on. He especially loved racing Cey to his Dad in the deep end. I think it was a tie. Jarod, poor little Jarod, I think the bug population had it in for him. First we were at the mobile pad, and a praying Mantis dropped out of the tree on him, Mommie showed him it was OK and let it crawl on her and Ceys arm. (kiara wanted nothing to do with it). Then when we were swimming , a black widow that had taken up habitat under the side of the pool, jumped on his suit, he was screaming, Ken was trying to get it off and finally Kris grabbed Jarod and pulled him into the water, then the spider died from freight, I am sure. Last but not least a bee swooped down toward his head looking for water. He finally gave up and He and Mamaw sat on the patio. All in all it was a great weekend and No the pool has not leaked any more. YET!!!
So that is how our day went how about yours, I am sure all of you saw fireworks, we did, a little, when Anderson had their show, We could see it through the trees behind the house. We certainly weren't going to leave the house we were exhausted.
