National Day of Prayer

OK I am not usually political. But today, being prayer day I felt this need to write. I sit to write a note and my mind will not shut down. Perhaps when I think about it, I will say, "I wish I had not put that in there" but this is how I feel this minute. This moment in time.


Today is the National Day of Prayer. We all know America needs all the help she can get. We began this Country with a Motto, "In God We Trust".
In my lifetime, 62 years I have seen so many begin the descent into less depending on God and more depending on themselves or someone other than God.
We have taken the Constitution and trampled all over it, We have taken the name of God and trampled all over it, We have taken our young men and women and sent them to battlefields under false pretenses and dishonesty. We have bombed other countries and those people have destroyed lives. So many lost shattered lives and shattered homes.
Did they need rescuing? Better question, Did they really want to be rescued?Did we need to do it like we did, I say NO WAY!
This is exactly why America is so hated. We think we can rule every country, tear it down then rebuild it. What about rebuilding our own country and the people in it?
Give us hope for a better tomorrow.
Rebuild our Hurricane Katrina homes, Rebuild our tornado devastated, fire devastated, earthquake devastated areas. We are not alone here, We can stand up and be counted with a multitude that feels exactly the same way.
We did not put our trust in God. We do not respect other religions. We think Christianity is the only way to go.
Honestly does it not bother you that this is happening where Jesus Feet trod? It does me.
Those people have their belief in Allah, I say that is fine, that is their belief.
They see Heaven different than we do. Actually we do have Americans that do not believe in a God let alone a heaven. Every country has a right to worship as they please, as every American has a right to worship as they please. We can not make people see the world through our eyes. They have suffered for thousands of years. They have trusted in their God to help them though.

We have so many different religions in this country but did you know, we are all striving for the same goal? A heavenly journey to be taken upon our death.
We all take different paths to get where we are going but by the grace of God we will make it, and through our own prayer and reverence to our Maker.
