Saturday

The morning air was so crisp this morning. I sleep so good when it is cool and I have my bedroom door open. I just wanted to keep sleeping. I turned my radio on at 730 and lay for an hour, sleeping most of the time. When the radio went off after an hour I hit it again, one more hour. Finally we decided to get out of bed and get to work.
Today was a busy day, at least until noon. David and I worked on our garden spot. First we had to repair the tractor. The drive belt had come off, it ran fine, it just would not move.
I played around with it until I saw the loose belt. I then found a tarp to lie on under the tractor, after putting it on ramps. I showed him where the belt was off and he tried to fix it too. I was just not strong enough to move the pulley and he could not feel it with his left hand. What a pair we are.
Finally I showed him the tension bar. I kept saying I know how to fix it but we have to keep the tension tight. I removed the cotter pin and held the bracket while he moved the belt , Easy job.
Now we can plow the garden..
As I plowed I began laughing, One of my rows was as crooked as a piece of rick rack. The tractor would pull to the right when I hit a big clod, on my second round.
So you can imagine the crooked row. I had to stop and laugh, David promised to straighten it out when he sets it up to plant.
I plowed, he tilled behind me, we decided we want it perfect.
You know that soil is so dry this year. I have never seen it dry so early. The soil was not cool at all from moisture.
At noon we had enough work, I turned the hot tub on and we jumped in, Ate our lunch in there, (muffins and tea).
As usual I got too hot. I had to get out before I passed out. I get so sick when I get too hot. I got sick at my stomach but felt better when I lay down. We lay down until after 4 pm.
Now is that lazy or what? I finally got up and washed my hair, (it was chlorine sick. )
At 530 we had left overs and have just sat the rest of the afternoon and evening.
Pooped Pooped is what we are, or is that Old Old is what we are.
Tomorrow we go to Rick Hathaway's memorial. I have tried all day to decide what to fix. I decided on two buckets of chicken. David finally came up with that idea and I loved it. So tomorrow we hit Colonel Sanders and I don't have to cook. I may pick up a pie or cookies but nothing definite yet.
So now it is bedtime and I am really tired.
You all have a great night.
Love to all.
