It seems things may get back to normal here. The audit is over. Taxes are filed, David can sleep in tomorrow. I can put my sewing back out and get busy.
I am over whelmed. I try to stay on one track or I get confused. I have never been a one job person, I guess I have to do that now.
My mind is not functioning properly. For example, today as I left I could not remember how to get to Joann's fabric. I could not get it focused in my brain the street it was on or the best way to get there.
I was like in a fog.
Finally I headed to Bechelli then I figured it out. I knew I could not go wrong by going Bechelli, I may have to back track but it was in that vicinity.
I was so confused.
I spent two hours in there looking for retro fabric. I tried too hard. Soon all looked retro to me. If I was sure ti was retro,the colors were off. I finally walked away and threw my hands up in defeat.
NO kidding I felt like every color there was Asian, retro or black or too big floral and I could not come up with good combinations.
Oh well, not like I have no fabric to work with. Only about 50 yards (bought 7 tonight)
That is no exaggeration, the 50 yards.
Lots and Lots of boxes. One is full of white on white balancing fabric, one is my stash for someday quilts, Some are children clothes, some are towels and upholstery fabric and pre printed quilt blocks. I am not crazy about those, (PRE PRINTED FABRIC)
I feel like that is cheating so I have hard time working with them. If you dont make each seam it is not personal. Don't you think?
Now to get my head on straight and get something accomplished tomorrow. Maybe we will rent a movie. I heard Old Dogs was hysterical. I do love John Travolta. He is a good actor for a stretch in his acting. He and Johnny Depp. They take roles that most of Hollywood would frown on. I see it was true Art. Great acting. Believable.
the men ate a lot of food. I had ham, cheese, chicken from deli, Chibatta rolls, poor boy rolls, Add the seasoning, Hot Poppers, veggies with home made dip, (ranch) and veggie baked straws. I love those things, Not a lot of fat but a veggie too. I also made cookies. I had a box of Fudge cake mix. it had a recipe on the side. I thought "Why Not?" I did not want to make a trip to Kent's for a pudding mix for cinnamon rolls, and I had all this on hand. They worked out really good. David liked them, That is all I needed to know.
Chocolate cookies, I also added choc chips and walnuts. They are very cake and moist.
So now I am relaxing. I need to go fold clothes and settle down for bed. I am pretty tired. I did not stop all day. really at 2 when David drove in I was so thankful for help.
He helped all he could and at 3 I finally had half a sandwich and half a glass of OJ. I could go on now. I just needed to get my sugar up and food in my tummy. It has been 7 hours since I ate.
I then showered and left the house as Joe drove up.
I drove back in as they were getting in their trucks after 6 PM. What a LONG day.
