Yee Haw

This morning Ron called, (our friend of 45 years) He said, they wanted to come over and help us with the corn.
Great, but I was through with mine so I told him they could have the rest of the field.
I knew they were coming and I was baking Banana Bread.
I thought, "What a great time to have them eat with us."
So I set the table really nice, cooked more bacon and when they came over, we called them in. We had Banana Bread, Bacon, Watermelon and Milk. That was so good.
So light but so gratifying.
Plus we had the joy of company at breakfast. We then proceeded to the garden to pull corn, We got a wheelbarrow full and then some.
We then spotted a cantaloupe that was getting ripe, I pulled three and sent one home with them.
One day on the counter and it should be perfect.
What a blessing to be able to share our harvest with our loved ones.
Our neighbors and all our friends have corn now, and squash and will have melons.
