New Month

It is hard to believe today is the 6th.
As a family we just had the hardest October in our lives.
However we made it through. I had to put my trust in God to bring me though this.
I am much better now.

I have so much to be thankful for, I just have to open my eyes.

So what were we up to this weekend.
We had planned on cleaning the pool but that did not happen.
However we did get the yard work complete.
Well as complete as it can be until we trim the roses and grape vines.
I need to go take photos of my yard. It is BEAUTIFUL.!!!!
The Pear trees are almost totally Red and Gold. The grass is a beautiful Emerald Green.
This has been a perfect fall for color.
David and I finished burning the burn pile. We had lots to burn too.
I mowed a strip around the field to take walks in.
(I have discovered I have really let down on my walking. I can always tell by my Back Pain.)
Walking strengthens the back muscles.
I also mowed down the garden. Melons and all. I chopped them up and we hauled a lot of old veggies to the burn pile.
Old veggies as in overgrown squash, and corn that was left on the stalks.
It smells nice. Corn, squash and melons toasting. LOL

Tomorrow more rain is predicted so getting that work done was important. The pool will have to wait.
For the first time it is green. We left for two weeks, and it has suffered the most.
I threw in Algeacide and shock and it is still yucky looking. I took out at least a gallon of worms. That is no exaggeration. They were literally in heaps in the bottom of the pool.
So Why Worms???
Well we live in a very fertile valley. Churn Creek Bottom.
We are blessed to have millions of earth worms. When it rains they crawl out of the dirt and for some reason there a millions of them around the pool area. They crawl in, Suck up lots of water and turn white and die.
The front walk, has the same problem but the worms there, Crawl up, Dry up and die. So I have white worms in the pool and brown dried up worms at the entry way.
Yucky discussion, but that is what is on my mind.

I did pull some of my Christmas decorations out today.
Yes I am going to decorate this year.
I was so sick last year, with Cancer surgery, (twice) I just felt like the holidays were not good. I sure missed it too. I missed the roar of fires and a beautiful tree and the smell of evergreen.

So I will start decorating soon. Probably before Thanksgiving, That way I can do it at my own pace. (Like I would do it any other way).

Oh almost forgot. While mowing my field strip. I discovered a new, trailer tire and rim. I am assuming it rolled off a trailer and bounced into my field.
I call Ron to see if maybe he had pulled a trailer over but we can't recall if he did or not.
So I am the new owner of a trailer tire, so new the little spikey things are still on the tire.
No I do not need this tire and I hope some poor person does not break down and realize they have lost their tire.
I am sure it is Not Rons, It has a white Rim. (or what ever that is they mount tires on).

With that I say, Good evening, I am going to take photos.
Love you all.
I don't think we say that enough.
How about you, Do you say "I love you" and Mean it or is it lip service?
