The Shades of Pink: Coffee Talk Tuesday:



"Good morning Coffee (Sippers) Talkers,

"Tell me about the time you fixed something"



This idea came from my Daughter, Find her at Site above.



Time I fixed something, How about tried. This is funny so bear with me.



Our Tractor needed new blades. "I can do this, I can do this" I tell David.

(after all I think I can fix anything. I am Ms. Broken Good wrench)

I begin by taking one blade off, (it has three) Cinch, See I can do this.

I move to the other side, the side by the chute. I tie up the chute and begin TRYYYYYYING to remove the blade, It will NOT budge. I work and work.

Finally David comes home, I tug him to the garage to help.

I tell him, he needs to hold the blade to keep it from turning while I turn the crescent.

NOPE did not budge,

We try several different angles.

David has a difficult time on his knees so I tell him, "You lie down on your back, I will then attach the crescent and I will work it loose."

He lies down, I put one leg on each side of his body. I have on shorts, (It is summer and that is my summer attire). David is lying there in his jeans and I am above him, pumping with all my strength to make that Darn Crescent move. Up and Down Up and Down.

The bolt did not move.

Suddenly I see a truck drive by, Rather slowly, Just as suddenly I realize how this must look.

I begin laughing and I am asked "Why are you laughing"

I am laughing so hard I cant talk, I fall to the floor in fits of laughter, I try to get to the bathroom but let me say,I did not make it.

Finally I can tell him what it looked like, He is laughing now, He continues lying on the dirty floor, and we are in gales of laughter.

Did the blade get removed? Yes it did, my neighbor came over the next day to help and NO I did not help him. I just watched.

Believe me I have more tractor stories.
