Where Are You

Where Are You Christmas"

Where are you Christmas
Why can't I find you
Why have you gone away
Where is the laughter
You used to bring me
Why can't I hear music play

My world is changing
I'm rearranging
Does that mean Christmas changes too

Where are you Christmas
Do you remember
The one you used to know
I'm not the same one
See what the time's done
Is that why you have let me go

Today we woke with sadness. Both of us were weeping.

We were recalling the Christmas of Long Ago. LONG LONG AGO.

We were visualising how Magical that first Christmas must have been.

The day of the birth of Christ. Can you just imagine a star that shone day and night, leading the way? A choir of Angels in Heaven singing his birth.

Wow, Wish I had been there.

Rich, Poor, Big, Little, Kings and Shepherds came. Even the animals knew it was a special night. A special birth. How the innkeeper must have felt knowing he sent the parents of the Christ Child to the barn to sleep.

That is what we do today , We often do not give him our best.

We celebrate the Season with remembering,

Why we have Christmas.

No matter what we did not have as children , we did have Christmas.

It did not have to be a lot but it was Christmas.

Even David said, "You know, we did too, we always knew it was Christmas and however small, the day changed for us. We had more food, we got something and often it was just hand me downs but it was new to us. A shared basketball with no hoop. Our older brothers in the yard shooting hoops with us into an old barrel ring, hung on a barn door. every time we shot the basketball the hoop bent. We had a blast."

Just as that day changed the world so many years ago. That day was special for us.

Christ is still the same Today, Yesterday and Forever.
