Crunch, Crunch

Tonight as I left work I walked through leaves. I loved the sound of the crunch crunch under my feet. I had to stop and Thank God for the beauty around me, (even though it was dark, I know the mountains that surround Redding and I can always visualize them.)

Today I served "San Francisco Bay, French Roast, Bold, Single Serve coffee"
It smelled AWESOME! Right now I smell awesome. I smell of Coffee.
Did you know, San Francisco bay Coffee is grown in Guatemala? (among other places)
Did you know it is grown for the Rogers  Family of San Francisco? Did you know part of the proceeds from the sale of this coffee goes back to helping Guatemala? Did you know they build kitchens, Homes, Schools, Community centers?
Well I have to say, Neither did I. Now I do and I shared that information with lots of people.
That great piece of information actually sold the coffee in some instances.

I found most people do not own a single cup coffee maker. I understand that, Neither do I.
I have a great coffee maker, David is unhappy with it as it is NOT hot enough for him.
Now that winter is on the way, I reminded him this morning, I heat the cups in the microwave with water in them. Then pour coffee in hot cups. It does help.

So today as I pushed Coffee, Caffeine I loved the smells and sounds of laughter. I could picture myself on Pier 39, having a cup of espresso. YUCK that was horrible. So expensive but no way could I drink it.
All our children were with us on that trip and they experienced dinner at The Grotto, Smells of shrimp, lobster and many fish being served on the sidewalks from food carts. Then we took a trip up the hill to Ghirardelli  Square. Had to have chocolates.Walks through China Town and back to the wax museum was exhilarating.
The best was the bread bowl of clam chowder, freshly made. Yummy.

I guess the smells of coffee and knowing Ken is taking his children there brought back many memories,

So  now it is time for Hot San Francisco Bay Coffee, Decaf for me.

I so remember those trips we made. I also remember the teasing I got because of the guys that were checking me out.
