I signed up for a short shift, short weeks, Short hours, short times, But No here I am with 42 hours this week or this two weeks, A far cry from 24 for two weeks.
Am I tired? Yep, Am I glad? Not really but it does give me some pleasure knowing I am helping out here, with David off with an injury that may last a lifetime.
Now if I could just get this kind of job when we move to OK.
I have great pay, and generally the hours are not bad at all.
However, Toot Toot, (me tooting my own horn) When you are good at what you do, You have more expected of you.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I am good with people. It runs in the family. My Sons and Daughter can talk a blue streak when needed. And they smile while doing it, You just enjoy their company.
My Husband is a total People person. He always makes us laugh and he knows everyone or he is going to know them before the conversation is over.
We Are total people, People. Make Sense?
Anyway. today as I was demoing chips, I heard from the end of the aisle, two old Friends meeting up.
They were laughing and shaking hands and having a great visit.
Know what I thought of? Of course you do. A song, an old song by Louis Armstrong.
"I see Friends shaking hands,.
saying how do you do?
They're really saying
I LOVE You"
And isn't that right? When you see someone you know and love you just smile all over. These two guys had gone to school together and had not seen each other in over two years.
And---- And------ And One of them was from Fordyce Arkansas.
How cool is that?
He knew Sheridan, He has been to Dorey's Catfish House.
How Small is our world?
Needless to say, I visited too, I think chips went to the back of my mind, I wanted Arkansas visits. He said, they bought fish from an older man, when he was a little boy about 1938 or so. Had to be my Grandpa!!!!
So tomorrow I have another task. I was only working 6 hours but my boss asked me to work 8 and work as a helper to the Lead. Plus I am to work the Turkey Table.
Good Name, Turkey Table and I am working with Turkeys, Therefore I can not "Soar With Eagles"
We all have our own style of selling and mine is to visit and sing TG songs and tell the customers how great they are to be patient, How wonderful it would be to relax on TG and just pop their food in the oven and serve a great meal in a small amount of time.
Some of the ladies want to rush them through like cattle.
Uh huh Not me.
One little girl, Amy works flowers, She and I have a little bond. She reminds me of my daughter, So today she brought her little boy in, 2 years old and his Name is Daniel.
She wanted me to meet him. He was so sweet. He became rambunctious when he began to get attention. I told her "It is OK Amy, I have grandchildren and they are so special, Tomorrow that little "angel" will be on your heart, today he is on your toes, Love every precious minute"
You cant tell someone, they have to live it to appreciate what you are saying.
Right now my Daughter is getting one on her heart, One who has decided to go into the Ministry.
He has talked of Missions. We are proud of him for making that step for God, This is BIG for our family.
I can tell you, If his Grandpa Sears were here he would be dancing with Joy. While Papaw Mac is tearing up.
Mamaw Sue, well Me, I am just in awe of Gods Majesty.
I think we always knew Dylan was going to work for God. I think he always knew.
He has tried to live a life above reproach.
It is not always a popular decision he has had to make but it was between him and God.
We knew he was making the right decision.
God does not come and stand in your face and say, "You are Chosen" You just know by the quickening of the spirit, Of the peace and prayerful life you live, You just know.
.
With that I close, with Joy in my heart and Peace in my mind that God is in control of my life.
Prayers and Love to all.
Mom
