As you can see we had a wonderful time.
When this photo was taken, My Car was parked in the center of the road, (NO Problem) we only met two other travelers on the road.
Gwena had walked ahead of us and yelled for me to come there. She had found the source of the water sounds. Usually the cliffs were so high you could only guess how far down it was to the base of the mountain.
It really was a NICE Day.
We drove and drove, I took them to the Veterans Cemetery then headed to Platina.
The sights were amazing.
One old fence was so unique. It had tree limbs holding up the wire. Literally limbs cut from trees and wound through the fence wire. They were beautiful and you could tell they were very weather worn.
Huge green meadows, Horses on hills, cows grazing in pastures and signs of past seasons of fires. However dreadful, the scenes were now clean and new growth was coming through the devastation.
One tree we saw, I had to take a photo of, The old Pine tree had apparently been struck by lightening. The tree was over 100 feet tall, but had broken in the middle.
At the break it had dropped down and wrapped around itself. The top hit the ground and was supporting the fallen comrade.
I found it amazing. If only my camera was more elite I could have gotten better photos. But maybe this will give you an idea of the grandeur.
