So So So

I worked yesterday,  my demo's were  Diet coke and Kirkland diet  soda.
OH my goodness I needed an opener. My finger nails, such as they were, are broken to the quick. I never have short short nails but his is horrible. I searched for a nail clipper several times, but no one had one on them.
No more opening with my fingers.
I am off today with nothing planned. We are both exhausted. I think it is the upcoming week that has our spirits down. We are not worried about the surgery, it is the possibility it is all for nothing and has to be done again in 6 months.

I just got up, made coffee and looked up and David was coming down the stair, He was dragging.
I told him I stayed quiet so he could rest, he turned and went back to bed. He is sleeping soundly right now.
Me, I so much want to just weep, Not even sure why but the tears do not come. I miss my Mama, I miss Jeanette, I miss my grandchildren, I miss my children. I miss my family, I miss my friends,  I miss Me.

Tears are just beneath the surface a lot of times but not making it through. I really wish they would so I can get on with my things to do. This is not my personality but it is a time of my life I must deal with.

So what have I done?
Well last night David helped me pick the concord Grapes. Oh my goodness, You walk under that arbor and the odor of Concord Grapes hit you and your mouth instantly waters. It really does.
I am sure I picked about a "Peck" of grapes.
Not a bushel or a barrel full but surely a peck.
How many years has it been since I heard those measurements? Since I was a little girl and Mama bought her veggies by the bushel.
A peck is 1/4 of a bushel. All those measurements are by volume not weight. There is an approximate weight to a peck or bushel or barrel, but no exact weight.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickle peppers, If Peter picked a peck of pickle peppers, How many peppers did he pick?

Well he picked about 14 pounds dry weight of peppers.

OK that is my lesson of the day.
I am much better now, sharing my knowledge with you all in possible words you do not hear.
Sheri may hear it as that is often how veggie and fruit  stands , in the south, sell their produce.
